The person behind Essential Alterations
Meet Masbah Qoraishi.
A tailor with more than 30 years of experience in garment construction, alterations, and textiles.
Masbah began working in the textile industry in Iran at age 20. He later moved to Turkey, where he worked with many textile companies and fashion brands, building his experience across fabrics and garment construction.
He looks closely at how each piece is made, listens to how you want it to fit, and recommends work that respects the garment.

Essential Alterations brings Masbah’s years of hands-on work to customers in San Diego. Alongside personal alterations, he works with designers and clothing brands on samples and small production runs from their designs and materials. He plans each project for a clear turnaround and clean finish, without cutting corners.
There is no published storefront address. Masbah currently meets customers at their location by appointment.
